Colgate Fluorigard Fluoride Rinse Alcohol Free Mint is a dentist recommended mouthwash to help restore tooth enamel. This is because the alcohol free sodium fluoride mouthwash reduces caries by inhibiting demineralisation and promoting remineralisation of the tooth surface, providing daily protection to teeth. As its alcohol-free it’s suitable for children and patients who may prefer an alcohol-free mouth rinse. Fluoride works in three ways to protect teeth from attack by the acids that are produced by sugars:

  • Reduces the formation of plaque acids
  • Prevents mineral loss caused by plaque attacks
  • Promotes re-mineralisation of early decay

Usage / Instructions Expand

Directions: Ideally use at a different time to tooth brushing. Rinse once daily with 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) around the teeth for one minute and spit out. Avoid drinking, eating or rinsing mouth for 15 minutes after use. Do not exceed stated dose. Excessive dosage may cause nausea and dental fluorosis in children under 7. If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your dentist or pharmacist. You should not suffer any side effects if used as directed, however if you notice anything unusual contact your dentist or pharmacist.
