During periods of hair growth disruption, the levels of these key proteoglycan molecules are depleted, resulting in a disruption to the signals which govern follicle function and the balance of the Hair Growth Cycle. This is experienced as an increase in shedding, poor or little regrowth, and/or follicles falling dormant.
Through the reintroduction and rebalancing of proteoglycan levels, follicle signalling can be re-established, resulting in the Hair Growth Cycle being pushed back to its proper duration, a reduction in the levels of shedding and dormant follicles re-entering the growth phase of the Cycle.
