What is Neo G Opti-Heal Silicone Multi-Purpose Dressing?

Neo G Opti-Heal Silicone Multi-Purpose Dressings are perfect for everyday use on minor surgical wounds, cuts, abrasions, skin tears, or other wounds with light to moderate exudation. These dressings are ideal when a highly absorbent dressing isn�t necessary, as excessive absorption can dry out wounds, leading to scarring and additional pain. The highly absorbent pad of the Silicone Multi-Purpose Dressing holds fluid away from the skin to minimize maceration while remaining breathable, allowing excess moisture to escape but preventing external liquids from entering. This helps maintain appropriate moisture levels at the wound site, potentially accelerating healing with reduced pain and scarring.

What are the benefits?

The Neo G Opti-Heal Silicone Multi-Purpose Dressing is a sterile dressing made up of a vapor-permeable, showerproof polyurethane film, an absorbent non-woven fabric layer, and a perforated silicone wound contact layer. The silicone layer has a high perforation rate for quick wicking, ensuring the dressing adheres to the skin, not the wound. It conforms to the body, staying securely in place with minimal natural displacement. When it�s time for removal or replacement, the dressing comes off easily without pulling on the wound, reducing skin damage and trauma to surrounding tissue. This gentle removal process minimizes maceration and enhances the user experience by reducing pain. The dressing is also ideal for wound monitoring.

Precautions to consider Neo G Opti-Heal Silicone Multi-Purpose Dressing?

� For external use only.
� Do not use with oxidizing agents such as Hypochlorite solutions or Hydrogen Peroxide.
� Do not use this product on dry wounds alone.
� Do not use on infected wounds.
� Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
� Do not use if individual wrappers are open or damaged.
� Use each dressing only once.
� Do not cut the dressing, the dressing must remain intact.
� Do not use after expiry date � see base of pack.
� If the wound continues to bleed or becomes swollen, reddened or painful, seek medical advice.
� The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days dependent upon wound condition and exudate level.
� Store in a cool dry place (5 - 40�C) away from direct heat and sunlight.
� If you do develop a rash or experience an adverse reaction discontinue use and seek medical advice.
� Do not use this product on dry wounds alone.

Usage / Instructions

How to use Neo G Opti-Heal Silicone Multi-Purpose Dressing?

Ensure the dressing is the appropriate size for the wound. The dressing pad should be 1-2cm larger than the wound.
Always wash hands before and after treating a wound.
Gently clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin.
Remove the dressing from the sterile wrapper.
Remove the release films and place the dressing centrally over the wound site. Avoid touching the side to be used on the wound.
Smooth the dressing down over the skin.
The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days dependent upon wound condition and exudate level.
Examine wound by carefully lifting a corner of the dressing.
The dressing should be changed when significant signs of exudate are visible or can be seen pooling around the edge of the pad.
Remove dressing by pulling and slightly stretching a corner of the dressing.
Gently remove the dressing from the wound bed and dispose according to local environmental procedures.
Cleanse wound site as required.
