What is Neo G Opti-Heal Hydration Multi-Purpose Dressing?

Neo G Opti-Heal Hydration Multi-Purpose Dressings are a soft, thin, and reusable self-adhesive silicone gel strips. They effectively manage both new and old hypertrophic or keloid scars, closed wounds, cuts, and abrasions once fully healed, making scars appear lighter, flatter, and more faded.

Who can use Neo G Opti-Heal Hydration Multi-Purpose Dressing?

For adults. Can ONLY be used on closed wounds, cuts and abrasions, once they have fully closed, to aid in the prevention of hypertrophic and keloid scars.

What are the benefits?

These dressings are translucent for easy monitoring of the healing area. Made from silicone, they allow gentle removal for easy repositioning and conform to the body for added comfort, making them suitable for sensitive skin. With good adhesion, they are ideal for both short and long-term use and are showerproof, protecting from dirt and germs.

Precautions to consider What is Neo G Opti-Heal Hydration Multi-Purpose Dressing?

  • • For external use only.
  • • Do not use with oxidizing agents such as Hypochlorite solutions or Hydrogen Peroxide.
  • • Do not use this product on dry wounds alone.
  • • Do not use on infected wounds.
  • • Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
  • • Do not use if individual wrappers are open or damaged.
  • • Use each dressing only once.
  • • Do not cut the dressing, the dressing must remain intact.
  • • Do not use after expiry date – see base of pack.
  • • If the wound continues to bleed or becomes swollen, reddened or painful, seek medical advice.
  • • The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days dependent upon wound condition and exudate level.
  • • Store in a cool dry place (5 - 40°C) away from direct heat and sunlight.
  • • If you do develop a rash or experience an adverse reaction discontinue use and seek medical advice.
  • • Do not use this product on dry wounds alone.

How to use What is Neo G Opti-Heal Hydration Multi-Purpose Dressing?

  1. Ensure the dressing is the appropriate size for the wound. The dressing pad should be 1-2cm larger than the wound.
  2. Always wash hands before and after treating a wound.
  3. Gently clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin.
  4. Remove the dressing from the sterile wrapper.
  5. Remove the release films and place the dressing centrally over the wound site. Avoid touching the side to be used on the wound.
  6. Smooth the dressing down over the skin.
  7. The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days dependent upon wound condition and exudate level.
  8. Examine wound by carefully lifting a corner of the dressing.
  9. The dressing should be changed when significant signs of exudate are visible or can be seen pooling around the edge of the pad.
  10. Remove dressing by pulling and slightly stretching a corner of the dressing.
  11. Gently remove the dressing from the wound bed and dispose according to local environmental procedures.
  12. Cleanse wound site as required.
