HOW REGAINE®’s ACTIVE INGREDIENT MINOXIDIL WORKS
Minoxidil
Regaine contains Minoxidil, which is clinically proven to help stop and even reverse hereditary hair loss in men and women. REGAINE® reactivates your inactive hair follicles.
How Minoxidil Works
Minoxidil works by helping the blood flow to the hair follicles and increasing follicular size and hair shaft diameter, stimulating and prolonging hair growth. It has been shown that nine out of ten men reported keeping or regrowing their hair after 16 weeks. It also helps stimulate regrowth for thicker and fuller looking hair.
How Minoxidil Promotes Hair Growth
- Reverses miniaturisation of follicles.
- Increases blood flow around follicles.
- Stimulates follicle movement from resting to hair growth phase.
- Extends each follicle’s growth phase.
Science Behind Minoxidil
The mechanism by which minoxidil stimulates hair growth is not fully understood, but minoxidil can reverse the hair loss process of androgenetic alopecia by the following means:- increase the diameter of the hair shaft - stimulate anagen growth - prolong the anagen phase - stimulate anagen recovery from the telogen phase.
