PRIMA's COVID-19 IgG Spike Self Test is a rapid test for the qualitative detection of IgG antibodies against the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 (in particular its Receptor Binding Domain) in human whole blood specimens. As this is a qualitative test, it will tell you whether you have tested positive or negative for COVID-19 antibodies. Since this test looks for the Spike protein, which is the target of many COVID-19 vaccines, it is the appropriate antibody test to have following the vaccine. This test requires a finger-prick blood sample to be collected at home. The test is CE marked and MHRA approved.
The PRIMACOVID™ Neutralising IgG Serological Test can be performed at any time of the day and can be taken by fully vaccinated people who want to verify their immune response (the presence of COVID-19 antibodies).
The device is intended for anyone who wants to test their immune response following vaccination. It is suggested to be used starting from 14 days after the end of the vaccination cycle. Serological tests detect the body's immune response to infection caused by the virus and not the presence of the virus itself. In particular, serological tests that detect Spike protein are of great interest, as they detect the presence of antibodies involved in the virus neutralization process in response to vaccination.
It is easily accessible and available to everyone who wishes to check their post-vaccination immune response.
COVID-19 NEUTRALISING IgG SEROLOGICAL TEST does not indicate the presence of the virus (and therefore whether or not a person is contagious, as is the case for nasaloropharyngeal swabs) but only the existence of antibodies against it.
